A different kind of Bridal flip flop

Designing for the Laguna Bridal Collection is in full swing, and with that came some in depth research of the bridal flip flops that are available on the market. My criteria for the search was simple, I was looking for handmade shoes that are designed in the USA and considered part of the “luxury goods” market. Needless to say I found nothing that fit all three categories, so I am excited to launch a new pair of flip flops for the collection!

The Bubble Bride is different in that the design is unusual (there are literally bubbles on the side of the flip flop) with the inclusion of a handmade bow. I decided to offer the bow in multiple colors to suit the bride’s needs. After all, I design these flip flops to be worn after the wedding as well. I have had numerous customers buy my bridal flip flops as every day shoes, it just depends on what someone is looking for.

I had so much fun making the bows by hand. That was a learning process within itself, but the end result was totally worth it. I now have unlimited options for customization with the Bubble Bride flip flops because of this. I also really liked using the 2 1/2 inch wedge because the added height makes the flip flop that much more eye catching. One thing I learned while working with brides was many of them bought a dress where they had to have shoes that added a few inches, so these will not compromise your dress if you plan of switching out of heels after the ceremony!
