This week’s Friday Pinterest love is all about hair styles! As many of you know, my long blonde hair is almost down to my butt. I normally wear it natural, but I’m always looking for ideas on how to style it, especially with summer coming up. I can’t stand when my hair sticks to my neck!
Ok, so I will admit that I don’t actually own this week’s outfit rave, but I do own a lot of stripes. However, my collection of stripes dates back pretty far, so I wouldn’t dare share something that you couldn’t find right now since it’s a current trend. I decided to highlight some cool stuff that would be perfect for summer!
On this Weight-less Wednesday I wanted to share a few places I really enjoy eating out at. The hardest thing about watching what you eat is going out to places where you have no idea what you’re really getting. When someone else is preparing your food, it could be soaked in butter or oils that add a lot of secret (and dangerous) calories!
Recently I found myself loving monograms, everything from jewelry to hats seems to be very chic for summer. So I took to Google to try and find some stuff I might be interested in and came across a site called Three Hip Chicks. Their stuff is totally cute and fits perfectly within my budget!
This week’s Pinterest love is all about clever pins that have made me laugh! Besides fashion, Pinterest is a great medium for sharing jokes, humorous animal photos and sarcastic flow charts. I highlighted some of my favorite clever pins for this week!
This week’s weekly outfit rave has taken yet another turn. Pictured above is my favorite Betsy Johnson dress that I wore during my graduation from college back in 2009. It’s a size 8, however I am not! So she will be visiting the seamstress soon to be taken in to fit me perfectly once again. So until then, I’ve been shopping jewelry and clutches to go with my dress.
I’ve been on a journey since December 2010 to get back in shape and become very healthy. I went from being almost 200lbs to 123lbs at 5’6 and I’m really happy with my progress! I get a lot of people who ask me how I did it and how I stay motivated to continue to improve my body. From now on, I’ll dedicate Wednesdays to my own advice, tips, recipes and anecdotes. After all, we all want to look good so we can fit into our clothes!
This is Kona when I got her at just 8 weeks old, it’s the only picture I have of her with her ears down. I never would have thought that the tiny puppy I fell in love with would be almost 30lbs and rock solid muscle two years later. Now I’m having trouble finding and selecting clothing for her. I almost want to make my own dog clothes, because things never seem to fit right or they end up hurting her for being too tight in her chest area.

My Mom has always had great style, which was evident in the countless pictures I have seen of her from childhood to rummaging through her closet today.
